Much needed

All though I was not as productive as I would have liked,  today was a much needed break.  I took the day off to take a minute to breathe again.  I had a water leak last week and needed to get that repair completed.  I also had to meet with my CPA and knew I was going to be out of town all weekend so I needed to get as much done for school as I could.  I finally tackled my refrigerator, which was also overdue.  I did some Spring cleaning while the contractors worked.  I never made it to Sam's, complete all my homework, nor did I make it to the gym; but it was nice to feel as if I could stop and take a deep breath!

  1. Sometimes we have to take a little vacation to get some work done, lol!! I know this feeling well, I have used A TON of vacation time in my life to tend to business outside of work. Moreover, living like that conditions you to constantly want to consume oneself with worry and stress. As a result, when you do actually go on a vacation you spend the whole time worrying about the things you need to get done when you return!! I guess that is what living is, a constant battle to get it all done....

  2. yes, we have to take breaks now and then. I will take mine next weekend. Until then I need to get as much as I can done where I will not stress while I am gone. I hope that this rest helped you out, because I can not wait until mine.

  3. I do understand about a much needed break. I am counting down for spring break. I want a spa day, to relax my mind. I haven't started on my spring cleaning yet, it seems like I have so much school work and family things to do that I just put that last. The only thing I have to do is clean out my closets and give some clothes to the providence house.

  4. Sounds like you got a lot done! Taking a break is always a nice feeling after you've knocked some things out. I thought it was interesting you mentioned breathing, because breathing is something that, I think, we've lost the art of in our society. Honestly, breathing can help out a situation in so many ways; it's amazing to take notice of how our breathing effects not just the way we feel physically, but emotionally, and mentally as well.

  6. I do that. If I don't have papers to grade, I take the day to do what I want. And, if the day is nice, I put off my work until later. As my mom says, "The papers will wait. The day won't." Smart lady, my mom!
