Getting Motivated

Not only am I trying to be very productive and get my assignments done ahead of time, I am also trying to get motivated to working out again.  I have always worked out, so this is not new to me.  I am just not motivated to do much of anything anymore.  I have been going to the gym about twice a week, but that is not going to be enough for the results that I am wanting.  Of course, being a single mother, does not allow me to complete the work out schedule I really want to either.  I am able to stay motivated when I work out first thing in the mornings, but again with my job and not my son I can not do this.  Wish me luck!!!

  1. Hi Adrien! Wow...you work out in addition to working a job, going to school, and keeping up with a son! You are super busy!! Hope you can get some "me" time soon and reach the goals you have at the gym!

  2. Where do you workout? Where do you work? I find that when I get it done in the mornings my day goes a lot better too. Sometimes I wake up late and do not have the time so I just run in the evenings. How old is your son?

  3. Good luck with staying motivated. I have the same issue as well, I started in the fall and when it got cold I stopped. I have a busy schedule and I find it hard to find time. I have to start working out again or doing something to help me lose weight before November.I'm turning 40 this year and I don't want to be overweight. My goal is to be forty pounds lighter. Good luck!

  4. You can do it! Working out is fairly new to me. I've been doing it on a regular basis for a little over a year. I'm 37 years old and sometimes I regret not realizing the benefits sooner. I quit smoking almost 2 years ago and after about 9 months, decided it was time to lose the weight I put on when I quit. It has sometimes been hard to motivate myself. My son is the biggest motivator, however. Good luck on getting back in the swing! I know you can! :)

  5. Show off!

Gardening is my primary form of exercise--toting bags of soil and mulch, weeding...

Exercise, for me, has to be sneaky. I can't call it that.
